Downloadable music!
You can download some early music on this page. There is some music played by Cappella Tibia and samples from the Early Music Summer Course final concert. The files are available in the following file formats:
- MP3 / 128 kbit/s - Rather high quality. However, the files are large, the download may be slow. Almost all player software (incl. Windows Media Player) will play MP3 files.
- MP3 / 64 kbit/s (mono) - These files are almost a half smaller than the higher quality files. The main difference is that these files have only one channel (mono instead of stereo).
- Ogg Vorbis - Ogg Vorbis is a less well-known new audio file format. The files are significantly smaller than MP3 files of similar quality. Unfortunately, only a few programs support .ogg files. The files available below are coded with approximately 60 kbit/s data stream, but their quality is equivalent to that of the 128 kbit/s MP3. For more information (and players), see the Ogg Vorbis home page.
Both the renaissance dances performed by Cappella Tibia and the summer course final concert music are available on CD discs. For more information, e-mail cd@cmah.org.
